1A1X1 Flight Engineer
Overview
A flight engineer performs aircraft visual inspections and operates and monitors engine and aircraft system controls, panels, indicators, and devices during flight. They calculate and apply weight, balance, and performance data while monitoring electrical, communication, navigation, hydraulic, fuel, air conditioning, and pressurization systems for warnings and failures.

What the Work Involves
- Inspect completed work to certify that maintenance meets standards and that aircraft are ready for operation.
- Read and interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and other specifications to determine the feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.
- Maintain repair logs, documenting all preventive and corrective aircraft maintenance.
