1. Agreement

By using mos.directory you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. We may update these terms; the date at the top of the page shows when they last changed, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

2. What the service is

mos.directory is a free, searchable reference for military occupational specialties across the six branches of the U.S. armed forces. It includes public score tools and is compiled from publicly available official military publications and occupational references.

Complete ASVAB Prep is an optional $39 one-time purchase with no subscription. It includes subject practice, explanations, personalized recommendations, review cards, and synced progress. Access is attached to the email address used at checkout and reached through emailed magic links.

We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the site at any time.

3. Not affiliated with the U.S. military

mos.directory is an independent resource. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the U.S. Department of Defense or any branch of the U.S. armed forces. Nothing on this site is official guidance, an official publication, or a recruiting communication.

4. Accuracy and reliance

Specialty codes, titles, entry requirements, and training pipelines change. Our summaries are condensed for readability and may lag behind official sources or omit detail that matters in your case.

ASVAB practice questions, explanations, estimated scores, line-score comparisons, and study recommendations are self-study tools. They are not official scores and do not guarantee a test result, enlistment outcome, or qualification for a military job.

Do not rely on this site alone for a decision that matters. Enlisting or commissioning, reclassifying, pursuing a certification, claiming a benefit, or making a hiring decision all warrant confirmation from an official source: your recruiter, your career counselor, your branch's official publications, or the relevant credentialing body.

5. Acceptable use

You may browse, search, link to, and cite this site freely. You may not:

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the site, its server, or its data.
  • Circumvent rate limits, or send automated traffic at a volume that degrades the site for other people.
  • Use the contact or request forms to send unsolicited commercial messages.
  • Use the site for anything unlawful.

6. Content and reuse

The underlying facts, official codes, and official titles come from U.S. government sources and public references, and we claim no ownership of them.

The written summaries, original study questions and explanations, categorization, organization, and site design are ours. Please do not republish the site wholesale. Quoting, citing, and linking are fine and welcome.

7. Links to other sites

Some pages link to official military sites, credentialing bodies, payment services, and partner sites. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, or privacy practices.

8. Provided as is

The site is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error free, or that the information on it is complete or current.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, mos.directory and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your use of, or reliance on, the site. These limits apply to both the free and paid parts of the site.
