18C Special Forces Engineer Sergeant
Overview
Special Forces Engineer Sergeants employ conventional and unconventional warfare tactics and techniques in unilateral, combined, coalition, joint, interagency, and multinational operations. They perform combat engineer duties and maintain detachment engineer equipment and supplies.

What the Work Involves
- Plan, schedule, or coordinate construction project activities to meet deadlines.
- Supervise, coordinate, or schedule the activities of construction or extractive workers.
- Read specifications, such as blueprints, to determine construction requirements or to plan procedures.
- Produce or update overlay maps to show information boundaries, water locations, or topographic features on various base maps or at different scales.
- Place explosive charges in holes or other spots; then detonate explosives to demolish structures or to loosen, remove, or displace earth, rock, or other materials.
