Overview
A Protective Services Specialist provides close-in protection for people in high-risk billets during official and unofficial travel. The specialist plans security for secretarial visits and prepares site surveys, route surveys, motorcades, and risk assessments while identifying areas of high security risk.

What the Work Involves
- Monitor and authorize entry of employees, visitors, or other persons.
- Patrol the premises to prevent or detect intrusion, protect property, or preserve order.
- Write reports documenting observations made while on patrol.
- Answer alarms and investigate disturbances.
- Provide for public safety by maintaining order, responding to emergencies, protecting people and property, enforcing motor vehicle and criminal laws, and promoting good community relations.
