Overview
Strategic Debriefers identify positions that require Soldiers qualified in strategic debriefing and interrogation. These positions involve the debriefing and interrogation of civilian defectors, refugees, travelers, and resettlers.

What the Work Involves
- Gather information about offenders' backgrounds by talking to offenders, their families and friends, and other people who have relevant information.
- Obtain facts or statements from complainants, witnesses, and accused persons and record interviews, using recording device.
- Record progress of investigation, maintain informational files on suspects, and submit reports to commanding officer or magistrate to authorize warrants.
- Write reports or case summaries to document investigations.
- Conduct personal background investigations, such as pre-employment checks, to obtain information about an individual's character, financial status, or personal history.
