Description
Coast Guard Deployable Specialized Forces Subspecialty Officers oversee and conduct tactical operations, CBRNE detection/identification, advanced planning, fast rope operations, hook and climb operations, deployable boat operations, and multi-vehicle operations. These capabilities are almost exclusively conducted in the Deployable Specialized Forces (DSF). The Deployable Specialized Forces Subspecialty codifies the knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA) expected of Officers in the DSF and helps ensure experienced, high performing Officers are identified to lead DSF units.
