For machine-records coding duties, Clerk, General (SSN 0055) was to convert according to duty and grade to MOS 3400 (E-3), 3402 (E-4 or E-5), or 4272 (E-3). The appendix also mapped 0055 coding-clerk positions to MOS 1402 when the new duty was Chief analyst or Analyst supervisor.

5 December 1949 is the regulation's date; no separate effective date or completion deadline for these conversions is stated.
