The position changes took effect on 7 November 1949. Conversion of incumbents' primary or potential-primary MOS took effect on 1 February 1950.
- The regulation establishes these position-specific conversions, not an Army-wide cancellation of SSN 0504.

Ammunition-bearer positions in the specified Infantry column split by the enumerated billets: squad-leader-assistant, combat-construction-specialist, and demolition-man billets convert to 3729; pioneer/ammunition-bearer billets convert to 5729.
