The source uses present SSN 0729 for filler, basic, pioneer, ammunition-bearer, and leadership duties. Filler/basic/pioneer billets convert to 5729; assistant leadership, demolition, and combat-construction-specialist billets convert to 3729; platoon and squad leadership billets convert to 1729. The 62 position-level source assertion(s) are collapsed into this one canonical predecessor event, preserving first-source successor order. Personnel MOS conversion is effective 1 February 1950; the appendix's T/O&E position amendments took effect 7 November 1949. The predecessor remains in the SSN namespace; successors are numeric MOS codes.
