Operated and maintained synthetic gunnery trainers using film projectors, sound equipment, and coordinated machinery for firing guns at projected targets.
The change instruction appears in Change 1, dated 12 April 1945, and the deleted-code listing appears in Change 2, dated 30 June 1945. Neither passage states an effective deletion date, so those publication dates do not establish when SSN 691 ceased to apply.
- The instruction does not specify how to decide which successor specialty was appropriate.
