Tactical Network Specialist
0656 was the historical Marine Corps enlisted MOS for Tactical Network Specialist. MARADMIN 237/08 documents 0656 as an existing feeder MOS in 2008 for voluntary lateral moves to Information Assurance Technician, MOS 0689. That application and training pathway is not a service-wide conversion or an automatic successor relationship. The DMDC crosswalk marks 0656 obsolete, but its dataset date fields are not treated as personnel-conversion dates. No effective transition date or direct successor is asserted. This Marine Corps record answers a branch-unspecified code search without establishing the visitor's branch of service.
