Engineer Assistant
October 1, 2026 is the scheduled active-component batch date for implementing the changes in the Marine Corps Total Force System, not a retraining completion deadline.
- Reserve retraining, as required, is subject to available funds for Prior Service MOS Retraining Program, Active Reserve and Selected Marine Corps Reserve Marines. For Individual Mobilization Augmentees, Individual Ready Reservists and Standby Reservists, service-record entries use the Headquarters-origin conversion action on the unit's Diary Feedback Report as authority.
- Marine Corps formal schools continue awarding current MOSs until a MARADMIN directs implementation of the conversions.

Paragraph 4001.5 separately addresses Reserve retraining, subject to available funds for the specified groups, and records for Individual Mobilization Augmentees, Individual Ready Reservists and Standby Reservists. Paragraph 4002.3 keeps formal-school MOS awards unchanged until MARADMIN implementation direction. The scheduled batch date is not proof of an individual's qualification, retraining or record-update completion.
