6035 Title not stated in source

Marines holding primary MOS 6035 in grades corporal through gunnery sergeant were to receive skill-designator MOS 6023, covering active, Reserve (SMCR, IRR, IMA and Standby Reserve), and retired Marines. This was an additional designation, not a replacement for their primary specialty, and was required before a separate primary MOS conversion. MARADMIN 474/00 directed that Marines in grades corporal through gunnery sergeant with primary MOS 6035 be converted to primary MOS 6222, 6223, 6226 or 6227, as assigned by the occupational-field manager's by-name roster. This applied to active, Reserve (SMCR, IRR, IMA and Standby Reserve) and retired Marines.

This assertion does not replace the original PMOS. The assignment was directed under the same no-later-than 30 September 2000 conversion deadline as the table. Paragraph 2 limits this assertion to grades CPL-GYSGT. Paragraph 1 covers active, Reserve (SMCR, IRR, IMA and Standby Reserve) and retired Marines, using separate headquarters unit-diary entries under the same no-later-than deadline.
