Marine Corps · SSN history

711 Cargador

Appendix B marks the earlier AR 615-26 title “Cargador” under SSN 711 with “*None,” meaning no Marine Corps specialty existed for that earlier meaning and no replacement was specified. The June 1945 title under 711 was “Ship Loading Man,” but the retained number does not establish it as Cargador’s successor.

Documented history

Cargador

June 1945 is the manual’s publication date; no calendar effective date is given for this entry.

  • “Transport Quartermaster Clerk” is the June 1944 tentative-manual title; the starred “None” applies to Cargador, not to that unmarked title.
  • “None” does not establish that the Army occupation was abolished.
Source extraction notes

Predecessor title from the AR 615-26 column: Cargador. Suggested conversions/remarks, as printed: *None. Asterisks bind the suggestions to the correspondingly marked earlier title, not to an unmarked present-title meaning. The Present Title column is the manual's June 1945 meaning: Ship Loading Man. It is not a present-day MOS equivalence. None means no Marine Corps specialty is identified for this earlier meaning; it does not establish that the Army occupation was abolished. The table gives no row-level calendar effective date. June 1945 is the manual publication date, not an inferred individual conversion date.
