Navy Law Enforcement Specialist
9545 was the historical enlisted Navy Law Enforcement Specialist NEC, distinct from the officer code 9545 Convoy Control Officer. It is a qualification code, not the Quartermaster rating. In a service-record query such as QM2-9545, the rating and grade portion and the NEC are separate identifiers. The Navy's May 2023 announcement describes the 815A program as replacing the former force-protection NEC 9545 billet. A program or billet replacement does not establish a dated, automatic conversion for every Sailor who held 9545. No effective retirement date or direct personnel successor is asserted here.
