Overview
A Judge Advocate provides legal advice and support to commanders, Marines, Sailors, and their families and may serve in litigation, legal assistance, victims' counsel, review, or command advisory roles. Judge Advocates advise commands on military justice, administrative law, civil law, standards of conduct, ethics, operational law, and international law, and they conduct or supervise required investigations.
