Overview
A Doctor of Philosophy, Technical officer plans and leads original research, evaluates emerging technologies, advises Marine Corps leaders, coordinates with defense research organizations, publishes technical findings, and mentors graduate students. MOS 8890 is the free MOS awarded to qualified Technical PhD Track officers.
Minimum clearance: Secret at entry, TS/SCI to maintain
