250X Judge Advocate General (JAG) Corps
Overview
Attorneys entering the Navy Judge Advocate General's Corps through the Direct Appointment Program already hold a bar license and practice before a federal or state court. They receive direct appointments as lieutenants junior grade in the U.S. Naval Reserve for eight years and serve on active duty for at least the first three or four years of that obligation.
