Overview
A surface operations limited duty officer manages the operation, employment, and application of operations and communications equipment, systems, techniques, and procedures. The officer plans and directs operations and communications activities, trains personnel, advises commands, and may serve in combat information, warfare, combat systems, or tactical action assignments.
