Overview
An Aviation Deck Limited Duty Officer plans, supervises, and executes aircraft recovery, placement, refueling, and launching aboard aircraft carriers and amphibious assault ships. The officer manages aircraft launch and recovery equipment, visual landing aids, aviation fuel systems, crash and salvage operations, and firefighting capabilities.
