Contract Specialist

Description

Prepares, negotiates and awards contracts to qualified vendors as well as evaluate defense contractor performance to ensure the obligated funding is utilizing in the most cost effective way possible. Conducts market research, identifies the appropriate type of contract, establishes competition for simplified acquisition procedures, creates acquisition plans using the best value approach, reviews purchase requests, publishes contract requirements and prepares solicitations.
