Aviation Boatswain CWO

Description

Aviation Boatswain Chief Warrant Officers serve as technical specialists in aircraft handling and support operations aboard ship. Their duties include the supervision of division tasks involved in aircraft handling and firefighting, launching, recovering and fueling aboard aircraft carriers, amphibious aviation and other air capable ships. They may serve as, but are not limited only to serving as, catapult maintenance officer, flight and hangar deck officers, aircraft crash, fire and salvage officers and aviation fuels officers, or in various operational and staff billets.
