Description
Aviation Maintenance Chief Warrant Officers serve as technical specialists in the field of aircraft maintenance. They serve as technical advisors concerning Naval aviation maintenance programs, policies and processes, as well as the capabilities, limitations, and reliability of aircraft power plants, accessories, airframes, and ground support, safety, and survival equipment. They may serve as, but are not limited to aircraft branch and division officers, Detachment Maintenance Officers (DETMO), Maintenance/Material Control Officers (MMCO), Quality Assurance Officers (QAO), Assistant Maintenance Officers (AMO), Officers in Charge (OIC), CTF Maintenance Officers, or in various operational and staff billets.
