Overview
A Navy Drug and Alcohol Counselor conducts assessments and intake interviews, develops treatment plans, tracks patient progress, prepares reports, and provides individual and group counseling. They also perform crisis intervention, aftercare planning, referrals, prevention, outreach, and educational services, and provide routine direction and supervision to counselor interns as directed.
