Overview

A Master Chief Aviation Boatswain's Mate supervises and manages afloat operations and maintenance for aircraft launching, recovery, handling, and fueling systems. They oversee steam catapults, barricades, arresting gear, catapult hydraulic systems, jet blast deflectors, fueling equipment, and ground handling equipment, while maintaining readiness and training for aircraft movement, firefighting, crash rescue, crash removal, and damage control.
