Overview
A Special Forces Warrant Officer leads combat operations and applies expertise in unconventional warfare and operations and intelligence fusion to planning and execution. This officer advises commanders on special operations, serves in detachment command and staff operations positions, and may lead task organized special operations forces elements.

What the Work Involves
- Prepare staff work schedules and assign specific duties.
- Analyze training needs to develop new training programs or modify and improve existing programs.
- Develop and maintain liaisons with municipalities, county departments, and similar entities to facilitate plan development, response effort coordination, and exchanges of personnel and equipment.
- Prepare emergency situation status reports that describe response and recovery efforts, needs, and preliminary damage assessments.
- Prepare management reports defining and evaluating problems and recommending solutions.
