An Area Intelligence Technician collects intelligence about specific geographic areas through human resources while following demanding operational security procedures in foreign environments. The technician conducts interviews, interrogations, briefings, and debriefings, analyzes information, prepares reports and map overlays, and supervises area intelligence units and teams.
Minimum clearance: TS/SCI

How to prepare: Prepare a regional intelligence assessment using public sources to practice for DIA's writing test and panel interview. DIA requires U.S. citizenship, security clearance approval, background vetting, drug screening, and any required medical or counterintelligence polygraph examinations.

Certified Department of Defense All-Source Analyst I (CDASA-I)
Validate all-source analysis experience for continued work in DoD intelligence analysis.
Eligibility and preparation: Available to DoD civilian and military personnel, including Coast Guard personnel, performing all-source analysis functions; requires TS/SCI clearance, access to AGILE on JWICS, and at least two years of validated DoD all-source analysis experience performing, leading, or enabling that work within the last five years.
