Civil Affairs Officer Special Operations

Description

The CA Officer (SO) must be an expert in the command and employment of CA individuals, teams and units, and capable of conducting Civil Affairs Operations across the entire continuum of conflict under conditions of ambiguity and hyper-lethality.CA Indigenous Governance officers are expected to understand and execute the CA core competencies; Civil Affairs Activities (CAA), Military Government Operations (MGO) and Civil Affairs Supported Activities (CASA) and their nested functions. CA officers are expected to act as Civil Administration Specialist who advise and assists local civil administrations in reestablishing or directing governance.  CA Indigenous Governance officers command and serve on the staffs of ARSOF CA units.  CA officers serve in other staff positions providing CA experience and expertise at SOF, interagency and multi-national level units.  The CA Indigenous Governance officer develop, plans, coordinates, commands, control, evaluates and transitions strategic, operational and tactical Civil Affairs operations.
