1 October 2018 was the scheduled active-duty-component Marine Corps Total Force System (MCTFS) batch date, not a universal individual qualification or retraining date.
- The accompanying MOS list changed from “2621, 2629, 2631, 2641 +” to “2611, 2621, 2629, 2631 +.” The full revised requirements are not shown, so removing “Parachute Qualified” from the title alone does not establish whether parachute qualification ceased to be required.
- Reserve implementation required coordination of PSMRP, Active Reserve and SMCR retraining as needed, subject to available funds, and appropriate service-record entries for Individual Mobilization Augmentees, Individual Ready Reservists and Standby Reservists using the headquarters conversion action as authority.
- Formal schools were to continue awarding current MOSs until a MARADMIN directed implementation.

Paragraph 4001.6 separately covers Reserve retraining, subject to available funds for the specified retraining groups, and record updates for Individual Mobilization Augmentees, Individual Ready Reservists and Standby Reservists. Under paragraph 4002.3, formal schools keep awarding current MOSs until a MARADMIN directs implementation. The batch date is not a documented universal individual qualification or retraining date.
