Expeditionary Firefighting and Rescue (EFR) Specialist
October 1, 2025 was the scheduled date for the active-component classification changes in the Marine Corps Total Force System, not a completion deadline for all Reserve retraining.
- The available text does not specify the revised requirements.
- Reserve retraining for Prior Service MOS Retraining Program, Active Reserve and Selected Marine Corps Reserve Marines was required as needed and subject to available funds. For Individual Mobilization Augmentees, Individual Ready Reservists and Standby Reservists, service-record entries instead relied on the headquarters conversion action appearing on the unit's Diary Feedback Report.
- Formal schools were to continue awarding current MOSs until a MARADMIN directed implementation of the conversions.

Paragraph 4002.3 keeps formal-school MOS awards unchanged until MARADMIN implementation direction. The scheduled batch date is not proof of an individual's qualification, retraining or record-update completion.
