Overview
Scouts conduct ground based reconnaissance, surveillance, and battlespace shaping for infantry and light armored reconnaissance battalions. They use advanced optics, communications suites, sensors, and unmanned systems to extend observation, while Joint Fires Observers on their teams coordinate surface to surface fires and air delivered fires.
