Overview
Mobile Facility Technicians inspect, service, maintain, and repair mobile facilities. They also work on associated environmental control units, generators, electrical equipment, and ancillary equipment.

What the Work Involves
- Inspect and test equipment to locate damage or worn parts and diagnose malfunctions, or read work orders or schematic drawings to determine required repairs.
- Repair and rebuild defective mechanical parts in electric motors, generators, and related equipment, using hand tools and power tools.
- Test electrical circuits or components for continuity, using electrical test equipment.
- Study blueprints, design specifications, or manufacturers' recommendations to ascertain the configuration of heating or cooling equipment components and to ensure the proper installation of components.
- Maintain equipment logs that record performance problems, repairs, calibrations, or tests.
