Description
Comprised of Senior Enlisted personnel that perform independent duty afloat and ashore as the primary advisor to Commanding Officers and sonar organizations on acoustic intelligence matters. Reviews documentary, aural and graphically displayed sonar information. Determines nature and origin of acoustic intelligence and prepares acoustic reports. Leads the development of techniques for derivation of maximum information and intelligence value from acoustic data. Prepares and provides briefings and formalized training on acoustic intelligence and related matters.
