Overview

A Navy debriefer conducts maritime debriefings and related activities using effective techniques and procedures. The debriefer follows DoD and Navy guidance in support of national security, maritime domain awareness, and Navy interests, and holds certification to conduct Foreign Military Intelligence Collections Activities within Military Source Operations Category III.

DIA Analysis Officer

Maritime debriefing and foreign military intelligence collection provide relevant subject-matter experience for DIA's analysis of foreign military capabilities at sea.

How to prepare: Practice a written assessment of foreign naval capabilities using public sources to prepare for DIA's writing test and analyst interview. DIA requires U.S. citizenship, a granted security clearance, background screening and drug testing, with medical examinations and a counterintelligence-scope polygraph when required.
