M2DV Diver Second Class

Overview
A Diver Second Class dives with air and mixed-gas Navy apparatus and operates, tests, repairs, and adjusts diving equipment, systems, and support equipment. The diver operates recompression chambers and submarine diving systems, performs underwater inspections, security searches, salvage, repair, rescue, cutting, welding, demolition, and small boat operations, and assists with the treatment of diving accidents.

What the Work Involves
- Take appropriate safety precautions, such as monitoring dive lengths and depths and registering with authorities before diving expeditions begin.
