Overview

A VT, MT, PT, and RT NDT Inspector performs nondestructive testing using visual, magnetic particle, liquid penetrant, and radiographic inspection methods. The inspector conducts these tests according to the standards in NSTM Chapter 074, Volume 2.

  • Interpret or evaluate test results in accordance with applicable codes, standards, specifications, or procedures.

  • Make radiographic images to detect flaws in objects while leaving objects intact.
  • Prepare reports on non-destructive testing results.
