Overview
The MK 41 Vertical Launching System Baseline III technician operates, inspects, and performs organizational level maintenance on guided missile launchers, missile canister equipment, and ordnance handling maintenance equipment. This technician prepares launcher equipment, loads and unloads gas management equipment and encanistered missiles, and uses authorized procedures and test equipment to isolate faults and replace electrical or mechanical components at the lowest replaceable unit level.
