MK 41 Vertical Launching System (VLS) Advanced Technician (VAT)

Description
Operates, maintains, fault isolate and repair the MK 41 VLS across each of the baseline configurations to the highest level supported by the approved documentation available for the launching system. Performs installation and check-out procedures; basic and advanced troubleshooting techniques, using authorized organizational and intermediate-level integrated Test Procedures; operates Built-in-Test Equipment (BITE), General Purpose Electrical and Electronic Test Equipment; and uses intermediate-level System Test Equipment to fault-isolate and replace missile launcher electrical and/or mechanical components at the Lowest Replaceable Unit (LRU) level.
