How to prepare: Study for the UAG knowledge exam and apply for the FAA Remote Pilot Certificate required for small-UAS operations under Part 107. First-time applicants must be at least 16, read, speak, write, and understand English, be physically and mentally able to fly safely, and pass the initial knowledge exam.
