Civilian Career Paths

Career associations are editorial assessments of the cited evidence, not an official crosswalk unless the evidence explicitly says so. O*NET supplies civilian occupation information, not proof of a military match. Related experience does not confer civilian qualifications. Tasks and tools below describe civilian work, not military training.

DIA Analysis Officer

Planning air defense weapons and command-and-control employment provides operational context for DIA's analysis of foreign military capabilities.

How to prepare: Prepare an unclassified writing sample assessing a foreign air defense capability using public sources to practice for DIA's writing test and interview. DIA requires U.S. citizenship, security clearance approval, background screening and drug testing, plus medical examinations and a counterintelligence-scope polygraph when required.
