17E Electronic Warfare Specialist
Overview
An Electronic Warfare Specialist advises commanders and plans, coordinates, integrates, and executes electronic warfare during military operations. The specialist conducts electronic attack, develops and executes electronic protection for friendly systems and personnel, and plans and performs electronic warfare support.

What the Work Involves
- Develop plans to safeguard computer files against accidental or unauthorized modification, destruction, or disclosure and to meet emergency data processing needs.
- Monitor current reports of computer viruses to determine when to update virus protection systems.
