Signal Operations Support Specialist (Sig Ops Spt Spc)

Description

The signal support operations specialist supervises, installs, operates, deploys, maintains, troubleshoots, trains, and provides information systems support for Army radio systems, vehicular and dismounted configurations. Performs Network Management Operations for Internet Protocol (IP) based radio systems and other tactical radio communications systems. Configures and troubleshoots Local Area Networks and Routers. Installs, operates, and maintains field expedient antenna solutions. Performs field level unit maintenance on authorized communications and electronics systems and COMSEC devices and prepares maintenance and supply requests for field level signal support. Disseminates and enforces signal polices and integrates signal systems and networks with adjacent units. Installs, operates, and maintains Radio Retransmission (RETRANS) operations and performs Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS) on assigned vehicles and power generators.
