Description
The Senior Signal Sergeant plans, coordinates, directs, and supervises the installation, operation, and management of information technology and telecommunication networks. Provides technical advice and assistance to commanders, staff, and subordinate units. Coordinates Signal activities with higher, lower, and adjacent headquarters. Performs Signal staff and senior operations NCO functions, to include writing Signal policy, procedures, operational plans, orders, and reports. Understands and assimilates emerging technology to control and monitor network status within the operational environment. Develops battlefield Signal operational plans to support organizations at battalion and higher levels, and for Joint and Combined Commands and activities. Operates as part of an Army modular component at the service, joint, inter-agency, inter-governmental, and multi-national levels in multi-domain operations.
