0699 Communications Chief
Overview
A communications chief evaluates communications equipment supportability, drafts system architectures and communications plans, and coordinates technical interface and restoration issues with other commands. The chief manages personnel, training, equipment accountability, and operational readiness while advising commanders on communications plans, policies, procedures, requirements, and capabilities.
Minimum clearance: Secret, often with SCI exposure

What the Work Involves
