Aviation Communication Systems Technicians install, operate, test, troubleshoot, repair, modify, and diagnose voice communications equipment, fiber optic cables, switched local area networks and devices, end user computers, and related software and firmware. They supervise maintenance sections or shops, coordinate equipment evacuation for repair, requisition parts, monitor maintenance reports, and provide technical expertise for planning, employing, and installing aviation communications systems.
