Overview

Low Altitude Air Defense Officers command or serve on the staffs of ground based air defense units that provide surface to air fires against unmanned aerial systems, missiles, and fixed and rotary wing aircraft. They evaluate intelligence, plan fires, coordinate tactical employment through air command and control agencies and sensors, and direct unit administration, communications, supply, maintenance, and security.
