Overview
A Basic Rotary Wing Pilot serves as a newly designated naval aviator who has not yet become combat capable in a specific aircraft model. This designation applies before the pilot becomes combat capable in an aircraft model in the Fleet Marine Force inventory.

What the Work Involves
- Check aircraft prior to flights to ensure that the engines, controls, instruments, and other systems are functioning properly.
- Co-pilot aircraft or perform captain's duties, as required.
