Description

Expeditionary Communications Technicians Operate and maintain mobile, small craft, vehicle and shore related communications systems as fielded by Navy Expeditionary Combat Command (NECC). Personnel execute combat service support missions from non-conventional sea-to-shore and inland operating environment in support of a variety of force types including Explosive Ordnance Disposal, Maritime Expeditionary Security, Naval Construction, and Navy Expeditionary Logistics Support, and Navy Expeditionary Intelligence. Personnel will have completed formal training and demonstrated experience concerning the fundamentals of unique expeditionary communications principles and enterprise systems necessary to deliver, maintain, and troubleshoot assured command and control capabilities within remote, complex, and austere environments. Personnel will have advanced working knowledge of the frequency spectrum, satellite communications, data transmission, waveforms, modulation techniques, field expedient antennas, communications security, and associated expeditionary systems.
