Overview
A Shipboard Aircraft Rescue, Firefighting and Salvage Specialist leads rescue, firefighting, and salvage teams on the flight and hangar decks of Naval aviation and aviation capable ships. The specialist coordinates with damage control, directs training, and performs or supervises inspections and operation of rescue, firefighting, and salvage equipment and systems afloat.

What the Work Involves
- Rescue survivors from burning buildings, accident sites, and water hazards.
- Dress with equipment such as fire-resistant clothing and breathing apparatus.

- Move toward the source of a fire, using knowledge of types of fires, construction design, building materials, and physical layout of properties.
