How to prepare: Apply to airlines that provide initial flight-attendant training after hiring, with particular attention to learning passenger evacuation and cabin safety procedures. Under 49 USC 44728, flight attendants serving aboard air-carrier aircraft with 20 or more seats must hold the FAA Certificate of Demonstrated Proficiency, issued after successful completion of FAA-approved air-carrier training.
